1 in 5 adults will be diagnosed with a mental illness. Oregon has the highest prevalence of mental illness in the nation and ranks 49th in mental health outcomes.
A Clubhouse in Corvallis will reduce hospitalizations, improve employment and housing rates saving the community greatly in preventative healthcare cost, improving lives and creating a better community.
"For years now I have applied online to various jobs beginning in 2012 which was shortly after my first diagnoses. I have been successful landing numerous jobs but none of them have seemed to persist. Since awarded disability (SSDI) in 2015 I have not held a job relying solely on disability income for paying the bills. The one job I did take, for a temp agency, my car was stolen and I was left high and dry. Last month I got a car. With this new form of mobility came a new sense of availability. Pathfinder helped me with my resume and I continued to apply on Indeed and finally was rewarded. Today I was hired by Scotts Miracle-grow company. Today I start my new life with a new company in route to financial independence and it feels good."

Without the help of Compass House, I never would have gotten my GED or a job. Now I have moved up because of Compass House, I think I can move into my own place soon. I just needed someone to believe in me.
